VMC designs “WL” components for water-lubricated compressors

Water Lubricated components are an excellent solution in between the performance of oil-injected components and oil-free ones.

The innovation capacities of VMC’s R&D department together with the well-established know how in the sector are such that the Company based in Creazzo is a landmark for those who work the field of compressed air. It is a partner to go to receive accurate answers for every need.

Even the niche markets, VMC is a synonym of reliability of quality: from the automotive to the public transport sector, from energy systems to natural gas ones, up to the pharmaceutical sector, food sector and water-lubricated systems, every product is designed to meet the requests of compressed air in any field of application, both special and traditional.

When you require the production of clean oil-free compresses air, like in the case of pharmaceutical  industry, VMC’s professionalism and long-lasting expertise come into play: pure compressed air is guaranteed by water-lubricated compressors.

The main reported issues concerning WL components are galvanic currents, caused by the presence of water, that can damage the integrity of materials.

VMC cares about these issues and therefore we have devised a series of valves (intake and mpv) specifically to solve the problems caused by the corrosive activity of water, by using fine material (stainless steel) and specific treatments. Water Lubricated components are an excellent solution in between the performance of oil-injected components and oil-free ones.

In terms of energy efficiency and costs, performances are close to those of oil-injected components. By working at low temperatures (around 40 °C), WL compressors allow the to reduce energy consumption, lowering costs and environmental impact and contributing to the efficiency of the product.
